We are building systems that enhance our inventory management, systems that fulfill customer purchases, systems providing the best delivery experience, and systems that effectively answering and solving problems customers face.

External Fulfillment Platform – Dropship, 3PL, Flexible Capacity

The External Fulfillment Platform (EFP) team build software that control the flow of work to our external fulfillment partners and provides tools for partners to manage their inventory, customer orders, and shipments in North America (NA), Europe (EU) and Asia (FE). This is a high-impact space packed with challenging problems involving very complex systems. Our systems handle the fulfillment of all customer orders that are fulfilled through Drop Ship, Vendor Flex and third party logistics partners. We have the largest number of fulfillment nodes within Amazon family of fulfillment channels, with thousands of external fulfillment nodes and growing. We enable unique selections that Amazon does not carry yet, as well as elastic fulfillment capacity for supplies to demands.

Customer Service Applications – Automation and Intelligence

The Automation and Intelligence team serves Amazon world-wide customers by building software to answer customers' question right the first time. This includes creating automatic replacements when we know products have defects or being recalled, alert associates of unusual situations and save time researching issues, simplifying email composition and customer surveys to help make the right improvements, and more. Our solutions serve millions of world-wide customers in hundreds of countries, used by CS associates in North America (NA), Europe (EU), and Asia (FE). Our success is measured by our ability to reduce contact, enhancing first time resolution as we enhance customer experience by reducing human errors through automation and intelligence.

Transportation / Carrier Operation Management Platform

The Carrier Operation Management Platform team builds solutions to serve our customers in North America (NA), Europe (EU) and Asia (FE). Our focus is innovation in last mile delivery, with a rapidly expanding business world-wide. We enable tens of thousands of packages daily through our network of fulfillment nodes, work with hundreds of different carriers in hundreds of countries and thousands of cities. We are applying mobile geo-aware applications to support real-time interaction with our customers, expanding into new problem spaces (e.g. delivering fresh food).

Inventory Planning & Control (IPC) team

Amazon Inventory Planning & Control (IPC) team is looking for talented software engineers and product managers such as yourself! We are responsible for building highly scalable and distributed software systems that Amazon uses worldwide to determine how much physical inventory is needed at each location in our network over time. As part of IPC, you will leverage advanced technologies such as the Amazon cloud computing platform, textbook mathematical and economic models to solve large scale resource allocation and long term capacity management problems. You will work with operational research scientists, analysts and business owners to design and implement software solutions to optimize our global supply chain.
